NOTE: If anyone has any strange, weird, homebuilt or otherwise unknown GPS' with a cable other than what would be considered 'Normal' (don't ask me what that word means, never understood it myself) than you will have to bring it yourself, or learn to telepathically download your 3D GPS track logs for scoring!

The Dalby Hang Gliding Club is again running an aero tow hang gliding
competition in Dalby from  Sunday 14 March to and including Saturday 20 (Practice day Saturday 13 March). This competition is to be a friendly affair
with a view to introducing as many hang glider pilots as possible to the
excellent year round flying conditions this area offers. Flights of more
than 300km reaching heights in excess of 10000ft AGL? YUP! what have 'em.

Entry Fee $150 per pilot includes the Presentation Dinner and a
Competition Tee Shirt. Aero tow fees are $250 for tows included on all Competition Days.

REQUIRE

• Int/Adv with Aerotow endorsement (These will be checked) AND experience in  XC aerotow in (very) thermic conditions (NO NEW AERO TOWERS PLEASE)

• GPS

• Parachute

• Helmets

• Tow Bridle

Dalby is situated on the Darling Downs, 2.5 hrs drive from Brisbane. It is
the central hub of a vast cotton and sorghum growing district which provides
ideal soaring conditions with an excellent road network that facilitates
easy pick-ups.

The competition is to be staged at the Dalby Airport where the club has a
secure hanger as its home base.

A wide range of accommodation is available in Dalby including Hotels,
Motels, Caravan Parks with on-site vans and Camping Areas.

Other requirements for the competition include valid current HGFA membership.

Registration at the Club Hanger at Dalby Airport between 0800 and 1000 hrs
on Saturday 13th March.

Format will be Start Circle around the Airport, Virtual GPS Turn Points and Virtual Goal.
Final day (and others) Goal will be at the Airport if conditions permit.
