Australian and National Records

Many pilots aim to set World and National Records, and coupled with Australia's favourable weather and open skies, many records are set, both by Australian pilots and visiting pilots from overseas.
The Australian Competitions Committee have set up different record categories for Australian pilots and visiting pilots and we now have two definitions for record categories:

National Record - Record flights by any holder of an Australian sporting licence
Australian Record - Any record flights originating on Australian soil

For a record attempt to be recognised as an Australian record, the ratification requirements that are necessary are:

Declared Goal Record - Use FAI procedures, or any flight to a goal in a AA or AAA sanctioned competition that contributes towards the final scores.
Other Records
- Use FAI procedures.
